After many years in the biz, I've come to discover and celebrate my apparent freakish adoration for anchoring. I've never dismissed ANY anchoring shift as a less desirable or inferior distraction from my reportage. The enjoyment is obvious in the air check montage below.

This an an 8-minute anchoring montage created from a few WUNC air checks, including breaks from a mix of national programs and a pair of local newscasts. I don't think there's a single show I haven't anchored either full or part-time during my long career. And starting in J-school, I've hosted a high-profile NPR news magazine, plus been a full-time general assignment reporter, at five of the six stations I've worked in Top 50 markets. I've also anchored lots of live breaking weather and election night coverage at WUNC and other stations.
